Growing to a height of 2 - 3 feet in one season, the foliage of this English cultivar is more deeply cut and serrated then the regular cardoon, it also is a brighter silver gray. Stunning as the centerpiece of a container, and long lasting into fall and early winter. When mature it will bloom with vivid deep blue-violet thistle-like flowers. Plant in full sun and well drained soil.
