Experienced Garden Designer
Pondside Nursery is hiring a Landscape Designer to work under the Head Designer. Pondside Nursery is one of the premier full service landscaping companies in the upper Hudson Valley, creating and maintaining high end landscapes for residential and commercial properties. Our services include landscape consultation, design, renovation, and maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending client consultations with the Head Designer and collecting specifications and site measurements.
- Drafting plans in AutoCAD and 3D modeling based on concepts and information from the Head Designer.
- Preparing documents and cost estimates for the client.
- Assuring jobs are quoted to meet production and material costs.
- Acquiring local permits, materials, and quotes as needed.
- Maintaining open communication with vendors, clients, and the team.
- Additional duties as required.
Position Requirements:
- Passion for landscape design
- Excellent verbal and visual communication
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Proficiency with
- AutoCAD
- Rhino
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Microsoft Office
- Degree in Landscaping, Architecture, Construction or related industry is desired.
- Ideal candidate is located in, or looking to relocate to the Hudson Valley
Position is Full to Part time.
Pay is commensurate with experience
