A recent selection of an old garden favourite, this is a short-lived perennial that will usually self-seed for many years. Plants form a low mound of felted silvery-grey leaves, bearing upright stems in summer with loads of round white flowers, with a blush of baby pink in the centre. Much more subtle in effect than the bright magenta forms that are commonly grown. Seedlings that appear may be easily moved in spring or early fall. Foliage often needs to be tidied in early spring. Drought tolerant once established. Attractive to butterflies. Flowers are excellent for cutting.
