'Sherwood Purple' is a stunning, purple-blue selection, and possibly the most commonly planted. As far as creeping phlox goes, 'Sherwood Purple' is the most vigorous selection, easily spreading 6-12 inches in a single year. The foliage forms a thick, neat mat about 2-3 inches tall, and the flowers are held above the foliage on 6" stems.
